Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 12, 10, and 8.

After a great 2008 season, I was injured and eventually diagnosed and cross-diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a type of arthritis disease, which precludes running for all but the most stubborn.  So I am on medications, trying to stay healthy, and seeing my PT often.  And running!  Now beating the streets in Hong Kong.

I got more sleep last night because I am fighting a cold.  It hasn't become full blown yet and I felt better this morning than yesterday, so I am hoping my increased sleep will keep it at bay.  I went on the treadmill and planned to do 7 miles, but the dang thing started to trip our electrical switch (what are those things called, they are in a big grid in your basement or laundry room?).  Oh, yeah, circuit breaker.  Its wierd, we have been using the treadmill in that location for a dozen or more runs without problems but today it is suddenly an issue.  Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Now I have to run extra long on Saturday to get my 60 :(

If you're fighting a cold I would stick to what you'd originally planned for Sat rather than play catch up.

Nothing else plugged in that's causing an overload and tripping the circuit breaker?

Lastly my Garmin 205 is a replacement, my original was out of warranty when it developed a fault. I rang the company and they were excellent. I sent mine away and the replacement came back within 3 days. I only paid the mailing costs for my unit. I've had no problems with the replacement at all. It's not often you get such service nowadays.

As for the tripping breaker. You might want to find out what is on the same circuit. i.e.. Flip the breaker off that tripped and find out what doesn't work (lights, outlets and whats plugged in them). If there is anything extra that you have just added you may need to move them to a different circuit. Breakers do go bad but that most likely isn't it unless it is a twin breaker (two breakers in the same space as a normal one, they are a little more touchy.) It could also mean that you motor is working to hard thereby drawing to much current and possibly a sign its going out. You might want to check you manual and find out if there is a way to clean around the motor. Any dust bunnies around it ect.
