Long-Term Running Goals:

Run St. George 2008 in 2:50 or less, gauge whether an OT time is in my future.

Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 8, 6, and 4.

Ran on my own again. Ran into Payson and decided I felt good enough to do some strides.  I did 4 and then felt like that was enough.  Just reminding my legs what fast feels like.  I kept the pace quicker than my tax season shuffle, but it still felt comfortable.  I'm going in again to get my groin worked on.  It felt sore for about .5 mile in the first mile, but then the soreness subsided.  As I sit at my computer I can feel it, though it is very mild.  

The sun came up over the mountains and I ran straight into it for the last three miles of my run.  It was nice to have the sun, but I'd rather have it to my side than in my face like that.

I hate that side sun--you ever wear a hat--it's hard to find a good light one. Thanks for the ankle encouragement, I think I'll actually be able to run in less than a week. You planning on running any more half-marathons this year? My PR is 2 minutes slower than yours so you'd make a great rabbit. Not that I mean to sound so selfish. Cheers to you

My race schedule is to the right under short term goals. The plan is to do the Provo River 1/2, Hobble Creek and the SF half. I'd love to try to race together. I am not quite in PR shape yet but I hope to be by August.

I would like to get a hat that is lightweight but I don't want to spend a ton and it's got to have mesh. I'm keeping my eyes open.
