Run St. George 2008 in 2:50 or less, gauge whether an OT time is in my future.

Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 8, 6, and 4.

Dang it I still feel sick!  Sore throat, weak, congestion.  No stomach problems yet today.  I have got to get better because my workload is picking up and I am planning on racing April 5.

This is your body saying I NEED REST CRAZY GIRL, I'M SHUTTING DOWN WEITHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. I do see you did good on sleep last night. Good job. It might also be the post long run hang over. I always feel worse on sundays after a long run. I feel pretty crappy today as well:( Feel better!!!

I agree. I hope you can get some OJ, some rest, and good sleep in the next few days, then ease back into it. It's tough balancing work and running. If there's anything I've learned from my ordeal, Michelle it's that my running will always be there to come back to - but if I don't listen to my body and take time off when it needs it, I am only putting myself at risk for a longer layoff, you know? Best of luck, and you're in my prayers. All the best to a quick and speedy recouperation!
