Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 8, 6, and 4.

Quick run started before 4am because I have a ton of work to get done between now and 5pm Wed evening.  Legs are feeling more "present".  No bathroom break, a Monday Miracle.

weight: 123 those dang sugar cookies, I ate about 6 when all was said and done.  I made them reduced fat (substituted half the fat with ff sour cream, and used egg whites only).  Frosting was full fat though.  What should my sugar cookies penance be today?  I think I'll start my ab workouts again.

Lion Queen, easy to gain those lbs, tough to lose. How is your mental side after the heart ache at St.George?

On the mental side, I can see the good and bad from the race, and I think I learned more from the near win than I would have from the win, so I think that it's ok in the end. At this point my primary goal is to learn how to race the marathon distance. I sure learned alot, so that's good. I was going to go through all the great comments from the race yesterday, but got distracted by other things, so I still plan on doing that to add some more closure. I do appreciate everyone's support though I haven't expressed it yet. It's in my heart. . .

Sugar cookies are my favorite! 1/3 cookie, 2/3 frosting :) As for penance, working out with me on Thrusday should reap you many blessings!

How were the cookies made that way?

Nice run :)

Penance- you can come do yoga with me some day. You can bring the little school-less ones and our boys can mock us while we "pose" :)
