Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 8, 6, and 4.

Ooooo... 8 hours, how lovely. That sleep tracker is like weighing yourself: the numbers do not lie, lol. Wish I had 8 last night! Good work on your ten miler. :)

Glad you were able to get some sleep! :) And I wanted to thank you for your comment yesterday. It really got me thinking. I appreciate it.

Nice sleep and run :) I got 8 too- we must be twins ;D

Hey if you are needing a REALLY slow 3 miles one day in the next 14 days or so, I really want to get a sub 30 5k. I am thinking first mile 10mm, #2 9:30 and #3 9ish. I just can't pace myself very well, even with the garmin. The onion days 5k, we started WAY too fast (Julia had me going in the 8's for the first 1/2 mile) It just kicked my bum for the rest of the race. Anyway.. if you could spare a few slow miles, let me know. :D

Do you have a course you want to do? The Payson 5k is pretty flat, right? So perhaps we can do that one since it's probably still marked well. I can do Thursday or Friday this week, or next week I can do Monday or Friday (and a couple of other days in there, but not sure about the workouts on the other days yet).

From marion on Sep 09, 2008 at 15:38:26

Could we plan on a week from Friday then? I'll mark you down on my calendar if that works for you. The onion days 5k route would be perfect. Yeah!!! THANK YOU!!!!
