Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 8, 6, and 4.

I was supposed to run five miles but my gps wasn't working so I accidentally ran 6.91 per the course tool.  I ran a couple of the miles with Clay.  It was nice for both of us to work out some pre marathon nerves by discussing the race.  5 strides.

weight 124 (phew! I thought it'd be higher with the taper and the work retreat).

Good luck at SGM, you are going to smoke the course!

I am sure the additional miles will help you come Saturday! I am so sick of going over splits and times in my head. It is starting to drive me crazy. I plan on going 6 tonight, I have not ran for a week. I did hike about 20 miles last week, and I had a lot of mountian naps. I feel really rested. I actually lose weight when I taper? Is that a bad thing? Great job today, I am excited to see your time..

Great job today Michelle. I was with Heidi and Heidi this morning when I saw ya and said Hey, but it was dark so I am not sure if you could see me. You looked strong though, like you were trucking along. Glad you got some of your nerves out. I need a lot of help in that department. Good job today! Hope you have a good day!!

Good Luck at St. George! Don't worry so much about the numbers. Just run!

Hey all, I couldn't respond back at work. So here I am.

Clay - Thanks! I am sure you'll do well too, the question is how well? Smashing PR well, or even BQ well?

Thanks Jeff and Annie - nothing like a good luck from the speedsters of the blog.

Tyler - exactly where would you lose weight? Hope you had fun on your hunting trip, what with the trouble that must cause Kellie, and I hope you didn't kill anything :)

Kellie - I thought that might be you, but I'd feel really stupid if it wasn't. I'll have to get up more nerve in the future. I'd like to meet Heidi Cloward.
