Run St. George 2008 in 2:50 or less, gauge whether an OT time is in my future.

Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 8, 6, and 4.

I had to fast from 7pm to 7am for some blood work this morning. So I went to be early last night and got up early to run.

Met Ali at 5am in Salem and ran to the ballpark and back. I was ok until about mile 9 and then I started to fade bad, probably because of no food after 7pm, and I had run yesterday afternoon so my body probably wanted some more fuel, or it was just mental and I was being a baby. Either way, slowed way down and finished most ungloriously.

I am going with my family to Raging Waters in SLC so it should be a fun but tiring day in the sun.

We were at Raging Waters about a month ago, pretty fun! This is an older park so it has lots of shade as well. You gotta do the roller coaster slide, the new mats make it pretty easy to get back up over the hump! Have fun!

Thats hard to fast and run, definetely can affect the running. Is it just routine blood work you are having done? HAve fun at the water park, sounds like fun!
